Knothole Baseball - Coronavirus Update

April 1, 2020

Coaches, Parents and Players,

On behalf of Knothole Baseball’s Board of Directors, I want to provide you an update for the 2020 Knothole Baseball season. Our top priority is maintaining the health and safety of our players, families and communities. I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during these challenging times.

Based on recent information received from our public health authorities and government officials, our board has decided to postpone “Opening Day” to Saturday, May 9. Our hope is to protect the health and safety of our Knothole community while doing our part in helping impact the flatting of the curve in the spread of the coronavirus. These dates can change based on updated mandates.

We know these are hard times for everyone who loves the sport of baseball. We want to be on the field playing, but we ask you to please follow the recommendation of our local, state and federal officials. Also, please be aware and consider changes within local communities about the use of their facilities.

Knothole Baseball has been in existence since 1932. We are committed to doing everything possible to make the 2020 season happen under a healthy and safe playing environment. We will continue to communicate with everyone as this situation evolves and information is received.Thank you for your patience, understanding and support of Knothole Baseball. Please stay healthy and most of all, take care of each other. We look forward to seeing everyone on the baseball fields soon.

Thank you,

Jeff Wiles
